The Rebbe on Trust

Conversations, Letters and Talks of the Lubavitcher Rebbe Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson on Bitachon: Trusting in G d

Bitachon is the Key

As the Lubavitcher Rebbe lifted a people after the holocaust and motivated them daily through their internal and external challenges, Bitachon - trust and faith - was the "tool" the Rebbe used. Training a generation that G-d runs the world and everything will work out to the best. Learn from the Rebbe and build your trust one step at a time!

Happiness in Hardship

It's true, sometimes all goes well. But other times? You make plans – only for everything to fall apart. What are you supposed to do then? And how do you put your trust in G-d – and serve Him with joy – if you never know what's around the corner? But trusting in G-d is about more than believing He'll do whatever you think is right. It's about recognizing that His plan is greater than anything you could even imagine. So next time things "don't work out," embrace the new opportunities it provides. And get ready for the amazing things to come. Now, that's real joy.

The Difference Between Faith and Trust

There are two fundamental principles that are so central to the foundation of the United States that they were engraved on its coins and printed on its currency: “In G-d We Trust” and “E Pluribus Unum – Out of many, one.”

Yours Faithfully

Esther Solomon is a veteran educator living in Israel. In 1969, she was diagnosed with an inability to give birth. Desperate for her own children, she and her husband flew to New York and arranged an audience with the Rebbe. After reprimanding them for not placing more faith in G-d, the Rebbe gave the couple a blessing. But the story only reached its conclusion many years later.

What Can I do To Have More Trust in G-d?

The Rebbe to Mr. David Mintz CEO of Tofutti: "Increase your trust in G-d and you will receive even more blessings from Him. Study the chapter, The Gate of Trust in G-d from the book, Duties of the Heart."

“Don't worry so much about business. More בטחון (faith in G-d) - more פרנסה (livelihood)”

On Faith, Part 1

Classic Torah sources teach two conflicting ideas when it comes to “Trust in G-d”: On the one hand, a person is commanded to rest assured that G-d will deliver him from any predicament, in a way that will be openly and clearly good; to never lose hope, for G-d is the source of infinite goodness.

On Faith, Part 2

All human beings are commanded to believe in G-d. But must they “trust” in Him, as well?

“Having true trust in Hashem is one of the fundamentals of our holy Torah and it reduces worry, until it nullifies it altogether. Thus, one can serve Hashem with true joy.”

“A strengthened real trust in Hashem. In addition to [trust] being a foundation of our belief, it is also a direct cure for your above mentioned situation (and the medical professionals are also in agreement with this). [Remember to study] Chitas. I will pray for you at the Ohel.”
